Interior Design of Living Room & Kitchen–Pantry

Introduction

The living room and kitchen are the central hubs of activity within a home. They serve not only as functional areas but also as social spaces that strengthen family interactions. In this project, the design focuses on creating a modern, warm, and efficient atmosphere by integrating the Living Room and Kitchen–Pantry into one cohesive open space.

Design Concept

The main concept applied is open space living with a linear arrangement, where the living area flows seamlessly into the kitchen and pantry. This spatial openness maximizes natural lighting from large windows and creates a spacious impression even within a limited footprint.

Natural wood elements are combined with a dominant white palette, producing a modern yet inviting ambiance. Accents of green, applied to the sofa and pantry stools, bring a refreshing balance to the overall interior.

Living Room

The living room is designed with a light green sofa set as the focal point, accompanied by a natural wood coffee table. The feature wall is enhanced with textured panels and concealed lighting, adding an elegant touch to the main gathering area.

Minimalist shelving units serve as both display and TV console, while the under-stair space is utilized for additional storage. This layout ensures the room remains open and comfortable for hosting guests or enjoying family time.

Kitchen–Pantry

The kitchen area is arranged in a linear island layout. A white glossy kitchen set paired with marble countertops conveys a clean and contemporary look. The central island functions as both a cooking area and serving counter.

The pantry is designed as a mini bar, featuring an elongated wooden counter with bright green high stools. This element not only enhances the visual appeal of the room but also creates a casual atmosphere, perfect for quick breakfasts or informal conversations.

Decorative pendant lights highlight the dining counter while visually separating the kitchen from the living area. An air-conditioning unit is placed strategically to ensure thermal comfort throughout the space.

Spatial Integration

The seamless connection between the living room and the kitchen–pantry is reinforced by an open circulation without solid partitions. The staircase to the upper floor is designed with minimalist metal railings, ensuring a modern appearance while maintaining visual openness.

The under-stair zone is transformed into a functional storage and display area, aligning with the concept of space efficiency.

Conclusion

The design of the Living Room and Kitchen–Pantry successfully merges functionality, aesthetics, and comfort into a single integrated open space. The open plan, natural tones with refreshing accents, and the use of modern furnishings create a warm, practical, and contemporary home interior—ideal for a dynamic young family.
